Etz Chaim: Tree of Life: Lessons Learned from the Tree of Life by Eric Walker

Kindle Edition Verified Purchase. I recently purchased this book for our church womens meetings.

Sort of as a book club type activity. We would all read a chapter or more if we so choose and we would read it and review it as a group. It has been mind opening and our spirits have been awakened by the profound lessons and explanations in the book.

It's something I won't ever forget. With all of the junk we can fill our heads with Rabbi Eric has taken The Words of G-d and penned them in a book by using common examples much like Yeshua did using His creation to teach us valuable lessons of life. When we read Etz Chaim it shows areas in our life we need to prune out so we can produce the fruit that is pleasing to G-d. We all feel barren and useless sometimes, but like the tree in winter that looks dead and ugly its roots are going deeper in the soil to find moisture and stability, that when the storms come it will be able to stand.

So we like the tree when we submit to G-ds purging and pruning process we also will be able to stand when the storms of life blow our way. Thank you Rabbi Eric for your love and care for G-d's people. Great book from the very scripture rich and well-written Messianic Jewish perspective of Rabbi Eric Walker.

Books by Eric Walker. Trivia About Etz Chaim: No trivia or quizzes yet. Quotes from Etz Chaim: Before making an appearance above ground, the seed first grows beneath the surface. In the same way, we must first go deep in order to find the source of living water to sustain our lives. We must go deep into the Word of G-D lest we build ourselves on a foundation of shifting sand and get blown over in the first storm that comes into our lives. We must first grow beneath the surface.

In its season, people gaze upon the buds and marvel at the branches. And winter comes, and the trees shed their beautiful leaves, and their outward appearance becomes bleak and barren.
